Montvalley wines are produced in one of the most modern wineries in the Hunter valley, utilising the skills and experience of some of the leading winemakers in the region.
Great wines are born in great vineyards. At Montvalley, the viticulturalist and vineyard staff both focus on producing the best possible grapes that can be grown from the soil and microclimates.
Montvalley’s wines are made by Monarch Winemaking Services. This company has recently invested in one of the most modern winemaking facilities in the Hunter Valley. The winery, near Pokolbin in the heart of the Hunter valley is able to process more than 5000 tons a harvest. Monarch is spearheaded by Greg Silkman and Gary Reed, a Hunter veteran. Jim Chatto is the Chief Winemaker at Monarch and is one of the most promising winemakers in Australia.
